We leave in a few days. I've read all I can, but it seems mostly about other ships. What are some of your favorites on Fantasia?

Best entertainment? MJ show?

Best MDR meals? Any particular pasta or seafood dishes?

Finally decided basic Allegrismo package. What are fav bars/lounges ? Any uncrowded ones? We are forward below one deck of the casino. Friends have a couple aft balconies.

Can we take a couple waters off for ports? Where you get off ship or somewhere else?

Free room service? If not, whats closest place to get morning (or evening coffee drink) near casino deck?

Best uncrowded hottub? Are they all aft or are there any forward?

think that's enough questions for now-we are excited for our first MSC cruise. We normally sail out of Texas where we live. DH studied Italian language, culture during college and spent several months in Rome, where we will stay post cruise. We enjoyed reading tips and thank all for their help!

A wise decision :)

Get bottled water in the MDRs or bars - the water in the cabin isn't included in the Allegrissimo package!! (Who knows why??)

Free room service?

Room service is free if you have the Fantastica level cabin. Continental breakfast items will also be free but there is a small charge for items from the room service menu.

If not, whats closest place to get morning (or evening coffee drink) near casino deck?

There is a dedicated coffee bar - Il Cappuccino Coffee Bar on deck 7 which is just above the casino and towards aft.

We are excited for our first MSC cruise.

Have a wonderful cruise.

Bytheway MSC Fantasia is almost identical to Divina except for some minor elements and colour schemes.

I think you will find my answers to all those questions, and many more besides, in my Fantasia blog in my signature below.

My favourite places were the Piazza San Giorgio for a people watching, general hang out place - although some of those pastries and ice cream look very tempting. Also like the bars above the atrium as I like the live classical sic. Jazz bar was a bit sore on the yes butadiene a good vibe. It was many years ago that I was on it but also lie the ba above he casino because they had a great guitarist there who would pretty much play anything anyone asked.

I liked the aft pool and bar during the day. Almost child free, noise free. (They didn't enforce the adults only rule).

The ice ream in the MDR at lunch or dinner is not to be missed. Pizza from the pizza bar is excellent. Go to the wine bar too, love the free nibbles they give you (sort of Italian tapas!). The emilio romagno lasagne and pasta Norma are my favourite pasta dishes. Love the porcini risotto and the Spumante and smoked cheese one is good too. Beef in Barolo rather good also

Thank you so much guys! great tips, etc!

Although husband in early 50s, he loves old music, from Julie London, Stan Getz, anything by Burt Bacharach, then jumps to Steely Dan , Judas Priest, he is all over the place. We like it all. Good to know places near our casino room, at the 'bottom of the ship" At least it has a window, "oceanview". We've only had balcony couple times, always get interior. But I'm ready to step up. And we can rationalize getting drink package by not getting balconey :)

Tim----I made it thru page 6 of your blog , then I started to get quite a buzz!!!! Very interesting stuff. Cant wait to try a caprihana!!!! mo

Our favourite hot tubs were the ones on the deck above the lido deck, I believe it's deck 15. They were very big, and also usually quieter and emptier.

About the bars, the one on deck 14 aft is very nice. Only problem with that area it's if it's windy, since it's not that nice and it can smell bad.

I made a review as well, with many pictures

Have a great cruise
