Blackjack Odds - Make sure to check!

DH & I are onboard Imagination right now, and I checked on the blackjack odds after reading current threads on the issue. Some tables explicitly state the odds, some do not, so you should definitely check before sitting down.

On this cruise, it seems like the $10 & $25 still have the 3-2 odds:

The $6 regular Blackjack table had stated the odds as 6-5 on the sign:

However, the $6 Face-Up Blackjack didn't state the odds on the sign:

I'm generally play the cheapest tables, but at 6-5 it's not worth it. Guess it's the $10 tables for me!

You had to look at the table to find what the odds were:

Even Money & No Insurance?? No, Thank You!

They are punishing the small time players. As you said, now you will go to the $10 minimum table. Boom. They got you to play bigger.

Also, with face-up blackjack, what is there to insure ? You see BOTH his cards. If he has blackjack he wins. Also, if you tie, he wins. So, if you both have a natural 20, then you must take a hit, and pray for an ace. This game is standard in the smaller and seedier land casinos.

Think I'll stick with the penny slots. At $10 a hand you can burn thru $100 pretty fast if you have bad run. BTW, how many decks are they using?

I have started playing Fun 21, 6 decks and dealt from a shoe and yes I know there are no queens. But they still pay 3-2 for a blackjack..Dennis

The best part of Funship 21 is that they ALWAYS pay on a 21. You can also double or surrender at anytime. You do have to change your strategy slightly due to the fewer face cards in the shoe.
