awesome. thank you!

do you happen to know if they take the drink packages there? i've got the royal replenish package, which is supposed to cover "specialty coffees," but i'm not sure from which venues.

It will be covered under a drinks package.

The only "venue" that isn't covered under packages is Room Service/MiniBar

Ok so now where were we before we allowed Food Porn to get in the way..LOL...ah yes...Finishing up with the Seaplex....now lets' go see the Rock Climbing Wall and then one deck up to the Flowrider and Ripcord by iFly ...

The first thing you come to when you walk out of The Seaplex and go Aft is the Rock Climbing Wall...also see pic above with the wall and Felicia...I'll bet you can get a great view of her if you make it to the top of the wall...I'll never know as I am height challenged....get dizzy just thinking about it...

Something I did ride on previous sailings was the Flowrider...enjoyed the ride too....of course it was much to cold on this sailing to even open her up

and RipCord by iFly is at the top of the FlowRider...

Hoopster95 has some great tips for getting the best ride out of Ripcord

The cabin crawl was done close to noon so I had to get going to IFly to get ready for my first attempt. I got the the registration desk early, they weighed me in, and then had to wait for the group before me to finish their introductory video and instruction. The group I was with was then sent into the video room and the instructor would also speak to us about safety, hand signals, what to expect and what to do. These guys are really really good, especially when you consider they have to repeat everything over and over again. They are very attentive in explaining everything and especially when you're actually in the machine helping you to fly.

Many cruisers just could not overcome the adrenalin to follow the instructors hand signals in order to have him help stabilize you. Many cruisers flailed all over the place. It's really important to relax and immediately follow the instructions given to you (ie. straighten your legs, relax your hands, chin up, etc). You only have 60 seconds and if the instructor struggles with you for too long you become a lost cause, there's not much he can do if you are not making the changes in order to be successful.

Here are a few of the professional photos I bought

THIS IS A MUST MUST MUST-DO activity!!! What a total blast! Although I had heard previously you would only be allowed to book once, I got all my equipment off and made a bee-line to the registration desk. I was able to book again for tomorrow day 4 :D

Surfing Flowrider style!!!

I had some time to kill before getting ready for dinner so I headed aft from the Seaplex to check out any action.... a few Florider boarders were out there disregarding the chill of the weather.

DSC01919_zps58514090.jpg

I turned and faced aft, away from the Florider and took this shot from the Florider seating area, plenty of seating and loungers for those of you who enjoy the quieter aft views on sunnier days

DSC01916_zpsb3f7f21c.jpg

I headed down there for a little but of chill time just to watch the wake

Quantum_Art Work_Butterfly Hallway

These are pics from Cruiser Hoopster

This is the butterfly Hallway leading to the VIA...going AFT towards two70...with Jaime's and Vintages down that way as well...this was one of my fav places to visit...

Hoopster writes: Making may way through the via, I enter the open square with " Waves of Light" in the center, Jamie's to the right, and the walkway that leads to Two70 to the left passing Vintages

this is quite interesting info from cruiser rakes5

Here are some details about some of the artists in the Via.

IMG_1195.jpg

Here are two Pics of the Elephant.

DSC01602.jpgDSC01603.jpg

Here is one other interesting picture. Apparently because this was our first stop in San Juan, there was two crewmen "tagging" the dock with the ships initials "QN". Here is a picture of them in action.

IMG_1089.jpg

Another different shot is this underwater picture taken from inside one of the upper pools in the Solarium, through the Glass walls.

PC022292.jpg

And this is what they have to do if the Northstar doesn't come all the way down, and lock in, so the doors can open. They open one of the floor panels, and get out a stool. The operator uses the stool to reach up and open a panel in the ceiling, and they pull a cable, that releases the air pressure in the door, so they can pull the doors open.

DSC01678.jpg

Sorry if that last bit of info is disconcerting to anyone...just thought it was an interesting bit of info...

Quantum_The drawing that keeps being erased

For some reason I couldn't find my pics of this particular one but Quantum has several pieces of "Art" that are interactive...I found this video of one of them...It's really pretty kool when you see it in person...it keeps changing...it's located just outside the Schooner Bar and I stopped to watch it several times...

a couple other interactive pieces

The people on this one were always changing

I had to search hard for the Diamond Club...don't remember previously seeing it listed on the ship signage so I didn't check that, even after someone explained to me where it was I kept missing it.....but now I know...

it is located next to the Music Hall on deck 4 by the Royal Theatre with wonderful Window views and a nice Hot Bar station...It wasn't open on this sailing (maybe because everyone on this cruise was rolling like a VIP!!! LOL) Even though it was open for service I did get to visit and take some great pics.

Quantum_Music Hall

As I said the Diamond Club is next to the Music Hall. So lets' take a look at this wonderful Venue. The MH is a venue that is used for a variety of things. In the evening it is the place to go for some live entertainment. It is a wonderful 2 story venue that even has pool tables.

Upper level...with all this seating can't you just imagine you and your cruise friends spending time in the Music Hall?

The glass door you see to the left is one of the doors that leads to the Diamond Club...the other door to the Club can be reached outside in the hallway

Cruiser's comments about the Music Hall

Im on the current sailing. There has been karaoke at least 3 of the 4 nights so far, using a karaoke machine. It's held in the music hall. Talent ranges from horrifyingly bad (but fun to watch ) to just outstanding. Audiences have been great.

Tomorrow (night 5) is rockarokie, which is karaoke with a live band instead of a machine.

On 12/27 they had:

L&M- royal theater

Millionaire- music hall

Battle of the sexes- music hall

Sent from my iPhone using Forums

Last night was great

Left Two70 around 12:15 and headed to Music Hall for more partying. Really good music and atmosphere and busy dance floor again.

Made it to bed around 2:15 but the party was still goin on.

A really funny show was the Battle of the Sexes held in the Music Hall.

They could do Quest in the music hall, its smaller it, but they could manage.

Had a great night last night

Saw a superb Bon Jovi tribute in Music Hall last night. Almost a 90 minute continuous set and they were brilliant. Music Hall is perfect for this sort of thing. Then we bit the bullet and played in the Casino which was packed but didn't seem so smoky.
