Upgrade fairy called ....

And we got upgraded from an aft balcony on deck 7 to a cloud 9 spa room.

Cruise is on the Carnival Breeze in February :)

 

Pros? Cons? I'm on the fence about the switch and DH interested in switching at all.

 

We're going with our 9 year old. We are also going with my sil and family. They are booked in a balcony room down the hall from us on deck 7.

I like the location and although I didn't use the spa I did tour it and thought it looked great. Enjoy!

At one point there was some confusion if upsells/upgrades get the passes.

If you got upgraded to a Spa balcony, your sister is NOT down the hall from you on Deck 7.

I would never give up a aft balcony, turned down a upgrade to a suite one time to keep my aft.

Not sure about the Breeze, but the Conquest class ships, the spa balconies are not covered. So on a super hot day, you would have no shade. i prefer the covered balconies. You still get sunshine, but shade as well.

We were told that getting a spa balcony as an free upgrade will not get you spa passes

 

Having cabins close to each other should not be that important. Its not like you can hang out in the cabin together anyways. Meeting up at the elevator or someplace.

 

I woulda stuck with deck 7 anyways...its the most sought after deck
