StanLaurel Posted January 4, 2015 #1 Share Posted January 4, 2015 During my one-and-only cruise (on Regal) I had a sushi craving one evening. I went to Ocean Terrace, and had 2 sushi rolls which were mediocre at best. Did I miss something? Is there a better place to get sushi on the ship?
-Lew- Posted January 4, 2015 #2 Share Posted January 4, 2015 Although a different itinerary, on the Royal and Regal TAs there was a big spread of sushi in HC on a couple of days. We found it good; however, not approaching what you would expect to be served at a sushi bar. We found the made to order sushi in Vines much better... sunsetbeachgal Posted January 4, 2015 #3 Share Posted January 4, 2015 Is there a charge for the sushi in Vines or does it come with purchase of a glass of wine? I intend to try the sushi at the Ocean Bar this time on the Royal. Agree with you that buffet sushi, on any cruise line that I have been on, is no where near the same as a sushi bar! -Lew- Posted January 4, 2015 #4 Share Posted January 4, 2015 Is there a charge for the sushi in Vines or does it come with purchase of a glass of wine? No charge with a wine purchase. There are also some very nice selections other than sushi. We've enjoyed Vines on occasion when we just didn't want to go to the MDR for dinner. It's a nice alternative. Bettyboop66 Posted January 4, 2015 #5 Share Posted January 4, 2015 The sushi in Vines is free with any drink purchase, not just wine. My DH and I don't care for wine but I LOVE sushi, so we would order a cocktail and a beer and both received sushi.
