Comparison of Loyalty Programs

Recommended Posts

For the help of many, lets see if we can put together a comparison of Loyalty Programs from the various lines. I only have experience with Royal, so I will probably be asking more questions than providing information. Besides the specific details of a cruise lines program, add what you like or dislike about the program itself. Everyone's input is important.

So, YOUR input is necessary!

Here is link to the Royal CAS Benefits from their website: http://www.royalcaribbean.com/cas/benefitsLoggedout.do

What we are disappointed in, is that they do not allow combining discounts very much anymore. But it hasn't disappointed us enough to look elsewhere. The cruise product is fun for us!

The Princess captain's Circle start after your third cruise or so many days.

What I like is that benefits are based on cruises or days . Not just days like HAL does .

See attached link for Princess

Link to HAL's Mariner Society (they base on cruise days only)

I actually think that using number of days and then rewarding people with a double day count when you stay in a suite (as Royal does) is very fair. Suite cruisers are spending quite a bit more and should see some extra rewards for that.

I could not see on the Princess website you shared, if they have any price incentives as someone moves up their status levels. Do they?

Keep in mind, I am not shopping for a new cruise line....just hoping people can learn more, instead of guessing.

I sort of like the way Celebrity does it, there are different points per night depending on the stateroom category. Seems more reasonable that a Royal Loft Suite guest only getting twice as many as the lowest inside stateroom.

Are there others who have opinions on this topic or additional info to share?

Princes allows the Military Discount on all voyages and you can combine with the shareholder credit and credit for referring a new cruiser. Princess has a better internet free usage also. :)
