looking for cheap things to do in Ft. Lauderdale

So i FINALLY booked a hotel for mid February - so darn expensive! The $950 hotel cost now has me looking for inexpensive things to do in the area for 2+ days before embarkment on Oasis. Pool obviously and will look into water taxi (does this take you all over or is it a tour?)

The water taxi is both transportation and a tour.

 

The beach is free.

 

Strolling down A1A and Las Olas is free.
