Costa Shuttles to Savona Port

I have read that there are Costa shuttles from the airports of Nice, Milan, and Genoa as well as a shuttle from the Genoa Train Station, Piazza Principe. I presume all these have to be booked ahead of time. However, do we have to book the shuttle from the Savona train station to the cruise terminal? or do we just pay them when we board? We are first-time Costa cruisers.

Costa does have shuttle transfers from Nice (1.5 - 2 hours), Milan (3 hours), Genoa (1 hours), on embarkation days, These have to be booked and paid for in advance if your are arranging your own flights, if Costa is arranging flights then the transfer costa are inclduded in the price. If you fly in on embarkation day (having made your own arragements) the shuttle will not wait if your flight is late.

The shuttle from Genoa station is privately run and must be booked direct, if there are no reservations then the transfer will not run. If arriving by train, it is best to continue onto Savona station.

There is not a shuttle from Savona station to the cruise terminal, there are local buses opertate this route, a taxi would take about 10 minutes and cost about €15.
