Thinking of Switching

I am booked on the Crown, mid ship, with a balcony on Aloha deck, but have heard the Caribe deck has much larger balconies that are "half covered". Is it worth it to change? Also, while on the balcony, can my next door neighbors see me, as I would like some privacy. Will I still get some sun if I remain on the Aloha, which is covered? Thanks for all replies! :)

I love the Caribe deck. I spend a lot of time on my deck so like the extra room, but you may have different priorities. The part of the balcony that is covered is part closest to your cabin door, so people will be able to look down at your from the floors above if you are at the railing. Also the people next door will be able to see you if they are at the railing and happen to look to the right or left. But if your towards the back of your balcony they will have to look around the divider to see you.

On almost any balcony, your neighbor can see you if they are leaning against the railing. If you're looking for total privacy, I dont' think you'll find it on most balconies.

The thing I like about Aloha balconies is that you are the highest and no one can look down into your balcony. If you switch to Caribe people on Aloha can look over their railing and see you on your balcony below. There isnt any privacy if you want to go out there in your robe etc.

Do people spend alot of their time looking around other peoples balconies? I think for the most part, after the initial checking out of the balcony, most people won't be spending their time checking out everyone elses balconies.

You can think that if you like but I have pictures of family members on the balcony and you can see others below or above who are looking straight into the camera for the pictures. People do look around. Plus they smoke cigarettes on there and bother others with their smoke.
