Getting in on the Cheers! program is going to be worth my $ on my upcoming cruise. I really enjoy a couple of the Classic Cocktails.

My question is under the Cheers! program can I still bring my drink receipt to the Casino cage and get a $5 match bet card?

i was on the glory on 1/24/15 and they gave you the match play with the cheers program. and also every time i ordered a classic cocktail the bartender would make a point of giving me the original receipt (you need this to get the match play not the receipt copy) and made a point of telling me that i could get the match play and how to do it.

also i had 40 left over match play cards from my last cruise on the pride.(did not gamble that cruise) i brought these with me and used them with no problem. if you look at the match play cards they all seem to be the same on all the cruise ships. and they don't have the cruise ship name you are on anywhere on the match play card.

Not a big Casino person... sort of. I take about $100 with me to bet on black jack and when I bet $100 (not lose $100) I'm done. So what is match bet?

When you order one of Carnival's "Classic Cocktails" you can take your original receipt to the casino cage and they will trade you a $5 match bet card. You can use the match bet card on a hand of blackjack, as long as you put at least $5 down too, essentially doubling a $5 bet to $10. If you win the hand, you get $10 they take the card.

Am i right in thinking that it can be used on roulette also? For example if it is a $5 minimum table you could put $5 plus the $5 match play on red and if you hit you pull back $20.

Yes IF they have a $5 Roulette table that is. I was quite surprised on my recent (Jan 25) Breeze cruise that Roulette minimum bets were now $10 for the entire cruise. Chips are now worth $2. I really like to play roulette but thats too high a minimum for me. I do play the $5 card tables though.

Technically you pull back $15. THe $5 match bet is forfeited.

Also if I'm reading this correctly with the Cheers program a person could potentially get 15 cocktails a day with a $5 match play each. That would equate to $75 a day in match play? Or just about enough to pay for the Cheers program to begin with in match play?
