Does the Sun have any ports in Alaska that they have to tender, or is all stops parked at docks

Tendering in Alaska - - -

Hoonan - Icy Point Straight ALWAYS TENDER

Sitka - ALWAYS TENDER

Ketchikan - if more than 7 ships in port 7th one tenders or waits for docking

Skagway - if more than 4 ships in port 4th one tenders or waits

Juneau - if more than 4 - 4th one tenders or waits

Whittier - unknown

Seward - unknown

Based on observation of port facilities

So Icy Point Straight and Sitka are the only ports of real concern here.

Contrary to popular belief - the port schedules are planned out well in advance - it is not on a first come first served basis.

Here is a link to the site that has all the information on all AK ports

I suggest that you look at the port calendar then the day you are going to be there and see where your ship is going to be.

For the most part, NCL docks where there are docks - obviously if there are no dock all ships must tender - Sitka and Hoonah (Icy Point Strait) are two that come to mind.
