ThinkOne Posted April 10, 2015 #1 Share Posted April 10, 2015 Greetings, all! We've flown into FLL to cruise out of POM but this time, we are doing it with a toddler. Obviously a can will not have a car seat and we are not interested in bringing one. What suggestions do you have? We are flying into FLL the day prior to departure. Thanks for your help! Twelvevman Posted April 10, 2015 #3 Share Posted April 10, 2015 We have used top shuttle in the past, they will provide a car seat if requested in advance. http://www.topshuttle.com
JohninDC Posted April 10, 2015 #4 Share Posted April 10, 2015 (edited) In addition to the above suggestions I would also check with QLS and Go Airport Shuttle. Many rental car agencies offer car seats and a one-way rental (FLL to Miami) might be cheaper for your family than per person fees for a shuttle. I would also reconsider your decision not to bring a car seat - the airline will check your seat if you decide not to use it on the flight and bringing your own seat is the easiest way to confirm that the seat has been well maintained and is appropriately sized for your child. I would also tip the driver a bit extra for the time spent installing and uninstalling the seat. Have a good cruise! :) Edited April 10, 2015 by JohninDC
BlueHerons Posted April 11, 2015 #5 Share Posted April 11, 2015 (edited) I would also suggest you reconsider bringing your child seat. It is against the law for a child to be unrestrained in a car and what happens at the last minute if you have to take a cab? A driver will not take you. Also, South Florida has some of the worst drivers on the planet with horribly clogged streets. I95 is a white knuckled drive in the best of traffic, you will regret not having your kid in a child restraint. Also, your child should be restrained in a seat on the plane.
