Grandeur & Dining Room Request

We will be sailing on the Grandeur in 2016, and ordinarily on our cruises with other lines we dine at a shared table with other guests for late seating dinner. For our Grandeur cruise, we'd like to request a table for two. Can we make the request before the cruise, and if so, should we just contact the maitre'd via email, or should we just wait until we board? Because the Grandeur is a smaller ship, we weren't sure just how many 2-tops are available.

I emailed RCCL about a month before my cruise with a request and heard back a week later that it had been granted.

We had MTD and even though we didn't request it, the maitre'd gave us a 2 top every night. :)
