Conquest or Sunshine for 8 days

We're looking at next April, conquest is 8 days to Aruba, Curaco, GT, La Romana and Sunshine is Aruba, Curaçao and GT. There around the same price. I know the Sunshine gets bad reviews, I've been on the Conquest in 2004, how is the conquest changed since than? So is it better to be on the Conquest with one other port, or the Sunshine with updated features.

I was on the Sunshine 7 day Eastern last week. The ship is nice, food options were great, did not have a problem with lines for food on lido or MDR. We did anytime dining and never waited more than 15 minutes for our group of 15. BUT! There is not enough deck space! We had 2 sea days, the first we gave up trying to find a chair until 3:00. The second we went out at 8:30 and claimed 2. People were everywhere, lying on towels on the decks, saw angry words between passengers who felt their chairs were "stolen", some passengers went and found Carnival staff to remove things from chairs so they could use them.

So, my opinion is, if you like to lie in a lounger on sea days, don't go on the Sunshine. If you are OK with spending sea days in the casino, spa, etc. then you will probably love it.

We've done both and would choose the Sunshine. The Serenity area is really big and has a pool with waterfall and hot tub along with multiple levels. It also has Red Frog Pub, Cucina, JiJi's, Bonsai and Conquest doesn't.

Iv'e been on both.

If the itins were the same, I would choose the Sunshine in a heartbeat. If you want the extra port (I would, only because it's the only one of the four I haven't visited yet) then Conquest.
