Vision inside cabins and fitness center

Recommended Posts

I'd like some input from folks who have stayed in inside cabins on Vision. I've never sailed on this class of ship, but I have done two TA's solo in an inside on the Brilliance deck 2 and 3.

I currently have a wide choice of cabins for an eastern Med cruise from Venice. DH is interested in going, so I will be sharing a cabin this time. I'm looking at cat L because of the slightly larger size and the location on deck 4 about 5 cabins down from the main centrum area.

Is that far enough away from the Centrum so that the noise level is reduced? I don't want to go much further back because of the casino overhead on deck 5.

The fitness center looks pretty small on this ship. Does anyone have experience with how crowded it gets for the treadmills?

We did inside cabins 2 times on Vision, one was a 10 night Scandinavian cruise, and one was a 10 night Caribbean cruise. Once we were on deck 4, about 10 cabins from the Centrum, and once was deck 3. Both cabins were quiet. Deck 4 gives you very easy access to Centrum, dining room, etc., but deck 3 was okay. Both were category L (I think). I would take either one again. I usually am concerned what is either above or below the cabin. Fitness center is smaller, but it is a smaller ship with less passengers. We use the fitness center on most of our cruises and have never had a problem with it being crowded, especially in the afternoons. We usually "work out" about 3, and then shower for the evening.

Thanks Don and Susan. You've confirmed my analysis of the ship. I like the easy access to the Centrum - I feel like we'll always know what's going on. And if anyone is up at odd hours, there is essentially a lounge area within steps of the cabin to retreat to.

It was different. A bit of an adjustment if you're used to the "normal" cabins.

The closet was on the opposite wall from the head of the bed. The door was at the foot of the bed on the long side wall. Some people with the sideways cabin complained that they bumped into the TV on the swivel thing when they came in through the door, but it was easily moveable.

Our stateroom attendant told us people like the sideways rooms because the way the bed is, it rocks you to sleep. Not sure about that one, but it was kind of neat having a different room for a change.

I just liked being the first room off the stairs/elevator area, made it quick to get to everything.

We were on the Vision 4/11 TA and stayed in a horizonal cabin. #7045. I loved it. We had the beds separated and felt it was roomier than other insides we saw. there is room for 2 night stands between the beds. Plenty of storage too. The only time the TV was in the way was after the room attendent had been in the room. He would have to turn it to original position to make one of the beds. Would def stay in the same cabin again.
