Will keep my fingers crossed for you. This happened to us last year but we still managed to get on the ship. It was just a hassle because we had to change air, hotel was evacuated and ship was delayed a day bust we still had the best of time.

I have been watching this storm, also. We are going out the next Sunday, the 22nd. Please, please, please go away.....

If it happenes...their is nothing we can do...I just want to know if I have to pack warmer clothes incase we go North instead of south...

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you and you do the same for me, okay.

this is going to be our first cruise. what is the avarage bill for a couple when depating the ship. I don't plan to shop onboard, but I do plan on playing the slot machines for the fun of it.. other than that, I think we will really just have to cost of drinks.. trying to get a ball park idea of expenses for onboard.

I'm so excited, as you can inmagine :D

Maddie,

Don't panic too much even if you go to Canada the weather shouldn't be too cold this time (maybe between 50F at night and 75 to 80F during the days.

An jacket or something for the evenings should be enough. I know you'd rather go to Bermuda but at least you won't be arriving in Canada in the middle of a blizzard!

Good luck, hope that hurricane gets out of your way in time.:)

The storm is scheduled to pass the East Coast Thursday- Saturday- shouldn't be a problem its not that strong and when it passes it will just be rough close to the seaboard. Absent a change you should be fine. To the person who asked what is the average amount-that depends on how much you drink or gamble or go to the spa. Drinks are about $5.00 each and beers are 3.50- watch the specials. Soda is 1.75 a can or you can buy a soda card. Other than that its really very personal. Also remember $10.00 per day in service charges. Pictures, shore excursions etc. You can spend a lot or very little depends on you.

Me....I never panic! I just go with the flow... I know anything can happen when I plan my cruise in Sept. :)

75/80 in Canada would be great. Thanks for the info:)

I just LOVE cruising...

We spent around 800.00 last 7 night cruise. But we did buy gifts.

Of course that didn't count towards my time spent in the casino:eek: I spend a lot of time in there and lost about 800.00 last cruise. OUCH! and mostly on the slot machines.:p

This time we are taking a 10 night cruise and I plan on bringing a couple thousand for the two of us.

We charges were about $2700 for 5 of us....We did drink alot, and we did shore excursions...(my oldest daughter's bill alone was $900  )

It was our wedding cruise and we bought our guests drinks on our cards before and after the wedding before we left Boston, I had planned on $3000, so we came in just under that!!

Hello Fellow travelers with Ophelia club, The rain dances are not working...Could they cancel travel based on current conditions, (tropical storm) and if not, Im sure we all can expext to have the ship rockin and rollin to mother nature. I have seen the same " clearing forecast" for Sunday and at I just hope we get at least a few hours on deck for a bon-voyage bash. dont let the stress get ya down, we are still gonna have a ball, maybe next time we all plan to do the "lets take a cruise vacation thing", we'll pick a better time of year to go, like typhoon season, or sunami season ;)

Your cruise should go as scheduled but be prepared for rough waters out of Boston and crossing the Gulf Stream. Went on the much abbreviated 9/04/05 Majesty to Bermuda (my first cruise) and because of Tropical Storm Nate we only had 1-1/2 days in Bermuda (at two different ports) and then had to book it out of there. We spent the rest of the time "drifting" as the captain put it. Make sure you bring some Bonine with you. I took two a day while at sea plus I wore the sea bands on my wrist. Thankfully did not get sick, just lightheaded.

Thank you Shore Guy. Tried to put the original picture in which is about that size. I couldn't make it work so I went to tinypic.com and it came out huge! Any quick idea on how to insert the original picture without going to another site? I did try the "insert picture" above the message but couldn't get it to work.

You need to use manage attachments below the posting window. Your picture must be smaler then 280X 460 I think.

I just go to resize image on my PC and change the lower number to 280. You need to save it as different name,
