j-9 Posted May 23, 2015 #1 Share Posted May 23, 2015 We are going to be sailing as platinum for the first time, and have the UDP & UBP promo. Has anyone experienced this, and do you know if we will still each get the free dinner for 2, which would allow us to each invite a guest who does not have the UDP, and could we still get the bottles of wine to either have with dinner or take back to the cabin? Thanks
computerworks Posted May 23, 2015 #2 Share Posted May 23, 2015 Have the concierge "smooth over" that sharing of the dinner perk with the restaurant first. They have recently tightened up the flexibility of that free dinner for two coupon. You are entitled to the bottle of wine, to do with what you want. Sand and Seas Posted May 24, 2015 #3 Share Posted May 24, 2015 We just got back last week from the Getaway. We had the UBP so at one of our platinum dinners we just got the bottle of wine to take back to the cabin. Just ask your waiter.
mommyto2girls Posted May 24, 2015 #4 Share Posted May 24, 2015 we have had no problems with that. You will still get your free dinners and can use them as you choose along with the wine.

I can understand why some are having difficulty taking others. You got the discount on the package. You don't notice the lower price if you have the UDP as a promotion, but logically it should be the same rule.

You get the $20 discount because you won't be using the UDP the night you use your Platinum Dinner for two with a bottle of wine. Not the other way around. The $20 discount only covers one dinner so you could still take a guest either way you look at it. ;)
