Casino points

Not true. For slots it's 1 point for $2 and for video poker I THINK its 1 for $5 run through the machine

Not sure how they rate you for table games as I could never get them to answer that question.

Actually that's not quite right either.

It's 1 point for every $2.50 put through the machine whether it's all cash you put in or a combination of the cash you put in the machine and the credits that you play back into the machine.

So for example if you put a $20 bill in a 3 coin dollar machine and never won any credits you would have 8 points.

If you put that same $20 in another machine and won $10 in credits but played it all back into the machine you would have 12 points.

Off the Fascination last month and I asked the casino host. They keep track of hours playing, the buy in and the average bet. FO example on my last cruise I had 12.5 hrs playing, buy in was $100 and my average bet $15. (course I had over 4000 points on slots-grin) this was on a 5 day cruise.

Wow the average person must spend quite a lot in order to get a free cruise and or drinks.

so what is the anticpated paly for a table player to get 'drinks on us' if it even even happens...on land $25 a hand for 4 hours is usally play that gets attention, but that is a lot of time for me on the ship...

Playing does not always equal spending. We gambled alot on our last cruise (my wife in particular), but we both had some good streaks and ended up ahead in the end.

Our upcoming cruise on the Miracle is a "free" cruise. We did upgrade to a balcony room for $120 each. Still pay port fees, taxes and we prepaid our gratuities.

I think a lot of the table games ranking is up to the discretion of the pit supervisor. I cannot bring myself to play the slots or VP in the ship casinos, the return is too tight/awful. I will play Craps though. Pass line with odds and Place the 6 & 8 are probably the best bets in the ship's casino. It's still a negative expectation game, but it is easier to get lucky and make your $$ last longer. I also try to be disciplined and not chase losses. If I lose 1/2 to 2/3 of my buy-in, I will walk away and try again another time. There is enough other activity on the ship to get my attention.

Anyway, on my last cruise on Carnival Liberty, I found the Craps table open in the afternoon on our first sea day. So, I bought in for $75 and two hours later left with over $400.:D There were a couple of us throwing that had very good runs with the dice, and we all made money. I also made a point to tip the dealers as I was winning too, either with small bets for them or with a red chip given to them every once in a while. The pit supervisor must have made note of my 'enjoyment' of the game. Later that night, after dinner, I stopped by the Craps table again. When I gave them my S&S as I bought in, the card came back with a Drinks on Us card attached. When I gave the supervisor a questioning look, I was told that "You earned it." There were still about 5 days left in the cruise, and it was nice to have a 'free' Guinness delivered now and then while working up a thirst. I think they were hoping to get their money back, but for once I ended up ahead. Especially the last night of the cruise; I had another good session and turned my $100 buy-in to $275!

Tables it's based on what you buy in for and how long you're there. I now buy in with $100 play slow and watch the numbers on the roulette wheel for awhile. Keeping my own score card and when I'm ready I'll buy more chips play a little(always have insurance) then I cash out $100 and keep playing what I have left a few spins. I rebuy in again and just slow play and repeat. I usually have drinks on us in a day or two and am now receiving Pack and Plays, Premier, and Casino offers. I maybe spent a total of $100 over the course of a week. I'm now going to Alaska, Hawaii and already did a Caribbean sailing from Pack and Play offers. Its great how if you can play smart you get rewarded far more then just winning big and leaving.

My PVP told me now that I receive the pack and play offers I will always be on the list for them as long as I book 2 a year and don't have any upcoming cruises. Which is music too My ears as a 27 year old. There's nothing better then going on a cruise for the cost of the port fees and the airfare to the city I'm going from if not from Florida.

I never had interest in cruising to Hawaii as that seemed like it should be land based but for $120 pp plus fees and $100 OBC my girlfriend made a strong argument for the trip.
