2Ports Posted May 29, 2015 #1 Share Posted May 29, 2015 Just booked the November CTN on the Dawn. Never been on one before. Just wondering what to expect?
crayola1932 Posted May 29, 2015 #2 Share Posted May 29, 2015 What is a Cruise to Nowhere? And what does CTB stand for? I have been cruising NCL for a long time, but am not very familiar with this message board. It is a bit tough for a newbie to use and to understand the messages. rvsullivan Posted May 29, 2015 #3 Share Posted May 29, 2015 CTB is probably a typo, OP is talking about CTN which is a cruise to nowhere. For the OP, CTN's are usually a big party. A lot of people trying to get a weeks worth of cruising into 2 or 3 days. Lot's of drinking, casino is crazy and late night partying. Not very much like a "regular" cruise. 2Ports Posted May 29, 2015 Author #4 Share Posted May 29, 2015 (edited) CTB is probably a typo, OP is talking about CTN which is a cruise to nowhere. CTB was a typo. I usually double check everything before I hit roasbt. :p For the OP, CTN's are usually a big party. A lot of people trying to get a weeks worth of cruising into 2 or 3 days. Rare mking8288 Posted May 29, 2015 #5 Share Posted May 29, 2015 What to do ... if you like it, join them - if you don't think it's for you, don't book or sail. It's going to be noisy and neighbors are sometimes loud, inconsiderate. Yes, also known as the nonstop party boat - typically cramped with a different demographics, college age & younger ones that will turn into zombies for the next 20 to 40 hours, with very few hours of sleeping & lots of eating, drinking, dancing & activites on the pool deck, etc. Longer waits for getting into the restaurants and packed shows/performances in the theater. Not sure but I believed there is also no "Room Service" even if you are willing to pay that new $7.95 fee but I stand corrected on that. Allowances for duty-free shopping are a little different but I've seen folks walking off with their victory bags. Given OP's cruise history & experience - this can't be a serious questions, come on - tell the truth :D:D

I'd love to hear from others who've done this more about what it's like. I have a picture in my mind, but I'd like to know if it's accurate... Hope it is... spidybabe Posted May 30, 2015 #7 Share Posted May 30, 2015 We like the 2 night CTN ...not so much the one nights. On the one night it is total party, and u feel like u getting off as soon as u get on. On the two nights it feels more like a cruise with the one full sea day. Never had any more crowds/waits than on normal sailings. Correct there was no room service. Safe sailing
