STEVE-O Posted May 13, 2016 #30 Share Posted May 13, 2016 It's in dry dock now.. I was thinking about stopping by and taking some pictures.. From what I heard it sounded more like mechanical type refurbishment, propeller work, etc. If I get some pics I will upload tonight.. Is she still in Portland or is she crawling north? We board Sunday.

groveml Posted May 15, 2016 #32 Share Posted May 15, 2016 Thanks for the information, you guys! We board the Radiance on Friday and I was just trying to find out if the internet was true VOOM or the old system, and found this thread. I got the email from RC offering the pre-board VOOM pricing and was nervous they were still trying to sell me the old, slow internet since most of their current literature only cites the new mega-ships having it (our friends got the internet package when we all cruised the Oasis last October and spoke very highly of it). I didn't realize the ship had been in dry dock for the last two weeks, though it makes perfect sense per RC's 5 year schedule (after the 2011 refurb) and that they would freshen it up just in time to go into the Alaska cruise season.
