Venice Airport Shuttle

Has anyone used the VAS, the water shuttle from the Marco Polo Airport to your hotel in Venice? This is a shared shuttle and the price seems reasonable and it seems more convenient than taking the bus to Venice and then the vaporetto to your hotel.

Thanks for your help.

It can be convenient depending on your hotel's location vis-a-vis the nearest Alilaguna Blu Line stop. Just keep in mind it is a long hike from the terminal down to the Alilaguna pier (at the airport) and it is a very slow boat. Personally, we always were happy just talking the fast and comfy ATVO express bus to the Piazale Roma. This is one reason why we love to stay in Ca Doge.

We have used Alilaguna to and from the airport several times, works great. The walk to the pier from the terminal is a few hundred flat yards, mostly under cover, and luggage carts are available.

Mind you, it's not as fun as a water taxi, but a lot less money. Unless you can find folks to share with. We just hung out by the water taxi desk in the terminal and asked if anyone wanted to share, sure enough met a lovely couple and had a great ride at half price, about €50 each couple.

Great idea!
