MigMan Posted July 6, 2015 #1 Share Posted July 6, 2015 We are sailing on the Breakaway in August. Last year we had reservations at a beach club on Elbow Beach, where you can get a day pass to use their chairs/umbrellas/etc. Unfortunately our ship got diverted last year due to bad weather, and we never made it to the club. We would like to go this year, but I cannot find the information about that club. Does anyone have the name of it? And, if you went, did you think it was worth it? Thanks in advance! ColinIllinois Posted July 6, 2015 #2 Share Posted July 6, 2015 Are you talking about this place? http://www.resortforaday.com/Bermuda-Day-Pass-s/1852.htm http://www.elbowbeachbermuda.com/
njhorseman Posted July 7, 2015 #3 Share Posted July 7, 2015 (edited) I suspect you're thinking of Coco Reef Resort, which is located on Elbow Beach. They sell day passes for $69 per person. Their website is http://www.cocoreefbermuda.com/ . You can email them to make a reservation. Their day pass price includes lunch and use of the hotel facilities. There are many posts from people who have gone there on the Bermuda Ports of Call board. Edited July 7, 2015 by njhorseman
njhorseman Posted July 7, 2015 #4 Share Posted July 7, 2015 Are you talking about this place? http://www.resortforaday.com/Bermuda-Day-Pass-s/1852.htm http://www.elbowbeachbermuda.com/ FYI, earlier this year Elbow Beach Hotel said they were not offering day passes, except of you were willing to rent a cabana for 5 or 6 hundred dollars. Then someone came across the "resortforaday" website you mention, and so far no one really knows if that is a legitimate offering since it contradicts what Elbow Beach Hotel said in response to a direct question. Someone just emailed the hotel to ask if "resortforaday" was legit, but so far hasn't gotten an answer. Even if it is on the up-and-up, it's not really a day pass to the hotel...by their own description it's use of the hotel beach with chair, umbrella and a bottle of water. Of course the beach is technically public anyway. It doesn't include use of the hotel facilities such as the pool...and its claim about "access" to Mickey's Bistro is laughable because the restaurant is open to the public...anyone can walk in off the street and pay to eat there. It's not as if you get a complimentary meal there if you buy this pass. In contrast the Coco Reef pass includes use of the hotel facilities such as the swimming pool, and includes lunch.
