Alaska Midnight Sun Party on deck

I posted this on the Alaska board and someone suggested that I post the question on the Princess board.

 

I saw that someone had posted on the patters for the southbound Star Princess sailing and one day lists a Midnight Sun on deck

 

Has anyone attended this event?

 

What were your thoughts is it worth attending? I am trying to decide between two different events that night.

Princess usually has a late night party by the pool on almost every cruise.

 

The name changes depending on where the ship is sailing.

 

This "mid-night sun" party may be no different than the "island night" party on Caribbean cruises.

Interesting. We have our 6 day land tour starting on June 23 and then board ship on June 29. Definitely a "time of the midnight sun". I think we're supposed to get maybe 2 hours of "dusk" per night and that's it.

 

I wonder if they will have something of this sort when we sail.

We did the northbound cruise on the Grand last month, and there was no deck party. The party was held in the Piazza at 10 PM one night.
