Disneynutbsv Posted July 17, 2015 #1 Share Posted July 17, 2015 Hi all! I emailed Carnival to ask about dietary restrictions. They told me to email the maitre d before I sail. I am unsure of when I should do this? I can't remember from the last sailing I had. I am sailing 4/16/16. They were amazing last time, I was very pleased with the offerings they had for someone with celiac. Very impressed with Carnival and their kitchen. They even made warm melting cake gluten free and was amazing!
13cheermom Posted July 17, 2015 #2 Share Posted July 17, 2015 My daughter also has a GF intolerance and I also emailed Carnival Special Needs department. They then emailed me back stated the general GF available options aboard all ships information. They also just told us to wait till we boarded the first day and go to the dining room and speak with the coordinator then. It took us about 15 minutes for her to pick out that nights meal selections and get it set up for the week. We also had no problems all week long as it was noted on our folio when we checked into dining room every evening. We also had ATD which was never a problem. She would choose the next nights menu at the end of dinner every night. I was very impressed at how they handled the diet restrictions all week long. Good luck and enjoy your GF cruise. springs741 Posted July 17, 2015 #3 Share Posted July 17, 2015 Have you contacted specialneeds@carnival.com ? Their instructions for me were to speak with the staff upon embarkation. I have had friends with peanut allergies and Carnival was wonderful.

vwrestler171 Posted July 20, 2015 #5 Share Posted July 20, 2015 Special needs dept will note it and then you will still have to talk to the dining staff on embarkation day to finish getting things set up and ordering dinner.
