knbcruisers Posted August 9, 2015 #26 Share Posted August 9, 2015 Apologies for the poor grammar and typos. These little phone keyboards make me crazy.
GUT2407 Posted August 9, 2015 #27 Share Posted August 9, 2015 OK. It has been a while since I drank any wine, but last time I did there is no way on earth I'd drink cask wine, it was shocking, has it improved? Or has it always been OK in the USA. Here it seemed that it was only the stuff now worth bottling that they put in casks.
knbcruisers Posted August 10, 2015 #28 Share Posted August 10, 2015 It'd relatively new in the US. In the last five years the quality has improved. Perfectly acceptable for an everyday house wine at a good price. I still prefer to bring bottles on board as I can bring a variety of reds and whites, and can easily bring a bottle to dinner if I want. Can't do that with boxed wine, but it is fine for balcony drinking.
