picking a night for David's on the Pride

I want to try David's for my cruise Sept 13 but I have these constraints....

 

1) I love the braised short ribs in the MDR

 

2) I don't want to go on dress up nights

 

What nights are then available to chose??? Thanks for your help!

We chose the third night (the 15th) because that is the night I don't think the MDR menu is that great. You do get the free bottle of wine on the first night though.

thanks! I have really considered first night...not so much for the free wine but because I don't think the short ribs are that night! lol....I know that sounds crazy!!

i have gone to David's a couple times. i usually try to go the day after the first formal night. i don't want to miss the lobster in the main dining hall. and it is a mid cruise treat. on my upcoming cruise on the pride we plan on going to David's on the 2nd formal night. i figured i have to get dressed up that night anyway i might as well go to the steak house instead.

We go the third night as well. We do not miss an elegant night and typically we have not liked what was being served on the third night. I know the ribs were not on that night, DH loves them.

Just off Sunshine 2 weeks ago- the hostess podium in the dining room had a book showing all the menus. But the menus may not be in order. The hostess will look at a list for your cruise and can tell you which one will be served which night. I was looking for a specific entree and it turned out it was not served the night I had previously researched. So the menus can be moved around. Just ask the 1st night to see the 'menu' book.
