Latest News Regarding Grandeur Cruises Out of NO

We are traveling on the Grandeur 1/7/06. I spoke to Andy at RCCL this morning (very nice and helpful). He said that RCCL made the decision earlier this week to sail out of NO. He said that the cruises on the website are on hold for future bookings until December 2006 because they are waiting to see what effects Rita has on NO. He said unless NO is devastated (which it doesn't seem like it will be), the Grandeur WILL sail out of NO. They put a hold on bookings to reduce the logistical nightmare of having to rearrange more travelers if the need arises.

 

So...he said to check back next week (and I was doing the right thing to call and inquire) to see what impact Rita has.

Please have your TA check the TA website again. The Grandeur will be going to Tampa. We leave on the 11/20 sailiing, its the repo cruise that originally was suppose to end in New Orleans. Instead we are ending the cruise in Tampa.

Tampa is correct. In addition, the 12/3 sailing is out of tampa and has been reduced to a 5 night sailing. urk.
