Miami Tours

Our return flight is not until 3:30pm after a Reflection cruise in November. As a way of killing time I was thinking of a Celebrity tour of which there are two. Has anyone taken one of these and if so what time does it depart and since they use airboats are you a wind blown mess for the trip home ?

We have not taken these ship tours, but have done airboat tours several times. They are not a high speed amusement ride. They are really quite interesting and seeing the Everglades is a blast Wear a hat, throw a comb through it, and you'll be fine for the ride home. Enjoy!

As a life long resident of S Fla I would highly recommend the Airboat Tours.

The Everglades are a very interesting eco system. Weather in November should provide breaks in the humidity. If you wear a hat make sure it's tied to your head. :D

We did one from FLL after debarking the Eclipse in February. It was the Open Air bus tour of Miami Beach that then dropped you at either the Miami or FLL airport in early afternoon. We were not very pleased. First, the description made it sound like you were on a bus to Miami where you then boarded the open-air bus. Wrong! We got on the open air bus at FLL and rode all the way to Miami on it...dodging palm fronds and tree limbs. Fortunately it did not rain as you could not go down below on the bus because the entire bottom level was where they put the luggage. The guide was so bad as to be laughable and then made us think we had to eat at the restaurant he recommended when we stopped for lunch (think he got a kick-back).

To make matters worse, we then got on the interstate...yes the interstate...to go the Miami airport...fun in an open air bus...NOT. And lastly, he tried to cram 16 people and luggage in a 14 person van going to FLL until we revolted and refused and he had to get another van for the trip to FLL. Maybe it was better than spending 8 hours in the FLL airport but not by much.
