sunlover41 Posted September 25, 2005 #1 Share Posted September 25, 2005 I will be sailing on the Infinity in Feb. and was curious if anyone can give me some feedback on it. I've sailed NCL and Princess and really enjoyed them both. I'd like some info on the casino, pool area, dining, and any other pertinent information. Feel free to e-mail me or post here. Thanks, Greg- vegas406@yahoo.com
Rare Jim_Iain Posted September 25, 2005 #2 Share Posted September 25, 2005 Infinity is one of the M-Class ships (Millenium) which are the newest and largest of the Celebrity fleet. They all are almost exactly the same floor plan with the only difference being the interior finish. The infinity has 2 pools and about 6 hot tubs (maybe 8) on the Resort Deck. Further forward is the indoor AquaSpa which is a thermal pool with lots of relaxation features. There are also 2 hot tubs in the AquaSpa Area. The Infinity has a theater that is 3 decks tall and holds approximately 1000 pax. There are daily evening performance here. The dining room is two decks tall with the upper deck being a u shaped tier. The U.SS United States is the specialty restraunt for which there is a surcharge. You can view a virtual tour of the ship by going to www.celebrity.com Select your ship and choose Infinity Virtual Tour. http://www.celebrity.com/plancruise/ships/deck.do;jsessionid=0000Nn6H5h3viDldafQvRgqhpzQ:1028etq20?shipCode=IN
Lisa63 Posted September 25, 2005 #3 Share Posted September 25, 2005 I am also on Infinity in February. One main difference between NCL and Princess (to an extent) and Celebrity is that you will have a set dining time for dinner on Celebrity. Rather than Freestyle or Personal Choice -- which I honestly didn't mind -- there will be two seatings, one around 6:00, the other around 8:00. (I don't know the exact times -- someone help me out here. :) ) Jim_Iain, are the hot tubs in the AquaSpa open to all, or is a spa package required? hancock Posted September 25, 2005 #4 Share Posted September 25, 2005 Second seating is at 8:30 each evening. Hot tubs are open to every adult in the area of Thalassotherapy pool.
Troy1_98 Posted September 25, 2005 #5 Share Posted September 25, 2005 On the Millenium Class ships the AquaSpa is available to all over the age of 18 and there is no additional charge for the AquaSpa Pool and hot tubs. On the mercury class ships there is an additional charge for the AquaSpa. There is a portion in the locker room area called the Persian Garden (steam rooms) for which there is a charge. Lisa63 Posted September 25, 2005 #6 Share Posted September 25, 2005 Thank you all for your responses to my question -- exactly what I had hoped to hear, too. :) And thanks for the late dinner time. (As you can see, we are early sitting pax...)

Shari2 Posted September 26, 2005 #8 Share Posted September 26, 2005 Hi sunlover41! You should love the Infinity, sunlover41 and Lisa! Hi Lisa! :) Infinity is a beautiful ship and very classy. She's somewhere around 91,000 GRT and never seems crowded. The crew is very friendly! The dining room is very classy, and the service and food is wonderful. The casino can be a bit smoky sometimes, but it can be worth it if you win $1200 like my DH did. :) The pool area is very spacious, and the deck chairs are comfortable. The pool bands are great. They have some fun games around the pool on occasion. If you have any specific questions, I would be happy to help if I can. Hope you have a great cruise! F5Loar Posted September 26, 2005 #9 Share Posted September 26, 2005 Confussion here: Are the Thalassotherapy pool and the AquaSpa pool the same pool in the AquaSpa area? I've always heard there is a charge for the Thalassotherapy pool except for suite passengers. Or am I thinking of HAL?
