Best place to see Sea Turtles?

I love Sea Turtles. I'd love to see them while we are in St. Thomas as its my birthday :) I've seen the NCL excursions to turtle cove, also one to St. John says you may see them--- but does anyone have any advice on excursions or even places we may go on our own to that are frequented by sea turtles?

You WILL see turtles at Buck Island, aka Turtle Cove. But unless you rent a boat, you can't get there on your own. There is always a chance you will see them in bays with sea grass on the bottom.

I'm looking into booking with Fury Charters for our cruise in January. They have a half day cruise/snorkel to Buck Island that sounds good. I'm looking for feedback from anyone who has done it.

And don't see that much info on it. I will let you know if I come up with anything. It looks so relaxing.

The best place to see sea turtles near St Thomas is Turtle Cove which is also called Buck Island. There are many boats that take people there, including the one used for ship's excursion. You can hire a private boat to take you there if you want more personal attention.

 

One Love Charters is one that gets good reviews. I think they're on Facebook under that name.

How busy is it when you get to turtle bay, is it over crowded? Like Stingray City?
