Since I had not heard from Viking (see my earlier post), and we are departing Monday AM, I sent a follow-up email to TellUs this morning. About 3 hours later I received an email response (a) that the first person with whom I had originally spoken had obtained approval for what I had requested, and (b) what we are to do when we arrive:). So if at first you don't succeed...

as I have posted in the other thread about LePecq I think that this port will become the standard port for Viking, hoping I will be proven wrong: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?p=49523211#post49523211

 

Companies are always at the mercy of authorities when it comes to permission to use ports, first the overall initial permission to use a port and then the local authorities allocation to a specific dock at a certain time.

 

It is good to hear that you have found a solution for your luggage problem. Have a great cruise.
