Yes, without a doubt. We have cruises 3 times during spring break, all 3 times it was a very young crowd, we are 40's so they were our kids age. Only one of those 3 cruises was a little out of hand, otherwise just lots of college age kids and a crowded pool deck..

College age kids who like to have a good time, drink plenty and drink plenty and drink plenty did I mention the Bikini's if you are in a warm area?... but by day 5, 6, 7 they are mostly hung over and just hogging pool deck chairs like normal folks.

We cruised on the Spirit in '09, first week of march. I think NCL (or a TA) must have done a recruiting session at Vanderbilt because hundreds of Vandy students were on our cruise (including most of the football team). For the most part they were very nice and respectful. The pool deck and hot tubs were packed all day with college kids. As others have said, the drinking and rowdiness had greatly subsided by the 5th/6th/7th day. :D

It depends on the port and which schools have spring break that week.

I was on Getaway last year the same week that Miami and Fort Lauderdale had spring break. We had 4,600 onboard (due to 3rd/4th free) and close to a third of the ship was under age 12. It got quite noisy but the specialty restaurants and adult-only areas were blissful!

Few years back we were on the Dawn leaving March 6th. 700 spring breakers. They had more security. They threw 25 off in Cozumel because they broke into a liquor storage room. They had 2 in the brig. They got mad one late night because the restaurants were closed. They broke the glass and shredded a picture (said to be worth 10 grand) in the guest services area.

We didn't mind them too much though. We did cancel one of our excursions when we saw all the kids off. You could actually go to pool without them falling over you that day. Hard to go to an adult area and get away, when they're considered adults, only due to their age.
