Euro availability at ATMs

just wondering if any recently returned travelers could update me on what the current situation is regarding availability of Euros at ATMs in Greece. Trying to decide whether to get all my Euros prior to leaving home or not.

I don't think there is currently any significant issue with getting euros in Greece.

Try to use your C/C as much as possible, some of those those quaint seaside Taverna's on the Islands have been defrauding the economy of millions for years.

"Andreas Andreadis made the plea to what are expected to be record numbers of holidaymakers, saying plastic could play a key role in hindering tax evasion, a perennial drain on the Greek economy. “What we are saying is that on cash transactions above a certain level please use your credit cards,” he told the Observer. “That way it forces services and shops to declare it on the cash register and issue receipts.”
