Jeepenfun Posted September 22, 2015 #1 Share Posted September 22, 2015 So my cruise in April dropped by $50 per person during this 36 hour sale. I went through and did a mock booking to see final price differences between what I paid vs what it costs now. But when I did the mock booking for the 36 hour sale I could not pick my room number. If I wanted to pick my room price then went up $60. I already have room number locked in on Lido deck for my booking that I don't want to loose. If I do a price drop claim, would that change my booking status to a guarantee balcony room or as I call it " somewhere on the ship room"?? lucy467 Posted September 22, 2015 #2 Share Posted September 22, 2015 In order to price march, you must be able to select cabins so cabin classes can be compared. I. E. Balcony room on Lido 8D or 8E for comparable rate.
lizardhowson Posted September 22, 2015 #3 Share Posted September 22, 2015 The 36 hour sale states it is a guarantee rate (Carnival chooses your cabin)
vwrestler171 Posted September 22, 2015 #4 Share Posted September 22, 2015 Yes, if you were to apply for a price drop, you would lose your room selection and go into the random pool. I had an interior but elected to pay the $100 difference and go the guarantee balcony route. I hope I get a good one.
