Last minute HELP! FLL to MIA

Just realized I forgot to book my family a hotel for tomorrow night when we arrive in Fort Lauderdale.

 

We are flying in tomorrow night and renting a car to drive from FLL to Miami. Our cruise leaves out of Miami so we need a hotel for 1 night.

 

We would like something:

 

Near Miami Airport or on the way from FLL to Miami (as we have to drop our rental car off on Saturday morning)

 

Safe area

 

Free overnight parking for our 1 night stay

 

Near a Walmart or store that we can pick up last minute items.

Near MIA check out hotels in the Blue Lagoon area - Hampton Inn, Homewood, Sofitel, etc. There is a local strip mall nearby - across the street from the Hampton - with grocery, drug and liquor :D stores plus fast food and casual dining options.

 

www.sunny.org has lots of FLL area tourist and lodging info.

Walmarts aren't convenient to the port.

 

I would book the Blue Lagoon area.

 

Publix, Walgreens, CVS will have everything Walmart does.
