I Just checked PTZ TV----Nassau

I just checked ptz Tv portofnassauwebcam.com, and there were no ships docked in Nassau.

The seas looked rough.

 

However, when I watched the Breakaway sail from Bermuda, the scene appeared to be calmer, with sunny skies.

 

Smooth sailing to all cruising this weekend.

I've been checking it all day. It looks weird with no ships!

 

They posted this picture earlier this afternoon. they are just on the edge of the storm now.

The coast guard is searching for a disabled cargo ship off of the coast of Crooked Island. Thirty three souls are aboard, 28 being Americans.

 

Thoughts and prayers are with the crew and their families.

That water at the Nassau inlets with the 2 ships docked looked pretty rough, watched a tugboat bouncing a bit earlier on the live webcam - and the beach across the water is empty, wind is blowing.

 

SAR for the missing crews & cargo container ship will be tough with 30' seas/waves reported in the search area, thoughts & prayers for them to be safe ... so far, authorities unable to re-establish contacts & no distress signal picked up should they safely abandoned ship & onboard one of the survivable (enclosed) self-contained lifeboat.
