We just returned from our amazing 7 day cruise, and I thought the Business class ATN was awesome - 160 degree recliner seats and DH and I both got 4-5 hours of sleep on the flight over, probably less on the day flight back to LAX as it left at 10:40 am but it was VERY comfortable - and the food and service were excellent. We are both 5'10" and 6'1" tall and found the leg and seat room to be cavernous. It was so great to spend 8 hours reclined and watching movies, napping and relaxing while the attendants kept us happy with French wine, champagne, and 2 meals. The first one was 3 or 4 courses with an appetizer, main, and cheese course plus dessert. Then was a cold chicken shrimp caesar salad plate closer to landing. The lounges in Papeete and Tom Bradley were very well stocked and comfortable as well. They had a lot of French reading material in Papeete, not as much in English except for the NZ Herald. Upon our arrival at LAX - we then transferred to a domestic First class 757 United red-eye to O'hare which was sadly deficient compared to ATN. We bought the tickets through PG - but I am going to check on the AMEX platinum card for future trips.

Only snafu was our checked luggage did not arrive in Papeete with us, but it was delivered 9 hours later to the Intercontinental where we were staying when it arrived on the next flight at 0500- in time to take on board the PG. ATN gave us (and about 10 other passengers in the same situation) a free t shirt and shorts and some other sundry items.

So highly recommend the ATN Business class.

Simply type in "Google Flights" into your search engine. On the Google Flights page simply type in LAX as the origin and PPT as the destination (or any other combination) and select your dates. A list of available flights and pricing will appear. If you want to check on First/Business/Economy Plus make that selection at the top.
