Tables in Portofino and Chops

My husband and I are planning on dining at Chops and/or Portofinos on our upcoming cruise. My question is do they have tables for two or will we be seated with other people?

They have tables for two. We dined at Chops on our Mariner cruise last year....it was wonderful!:D Have fun!

You will most definitely be at your own table. Have fun! Both are fabulous and are more than worth their cost!!!

When making reservations can you request a table by the window or do they not accommodate those kind of requests? Just curious....

Portifino's was $20 per person and that included tip. We had a table for two on the Empress of the Seas a few weeks ago. We thought the food was only marginal but it was nice to sit alone for at least one meal during the cruise.

If you reserve as soon as you board, you will have your choice of days and times. You can definetely get a table for the 2 of you and ask for a seat by the window. But just remember not to reserve too late in the evening or it will be completely dark and you won't see anything! I think the earliest reservation you can make is 6:00, that was on AOS.

Just curious -- what are the latest reservations available ? We're considering doing Portofino after our 2pm-8pm stop in San Juan.

We had 9:30 reservations. We have ate at both and the food was excellent and it was a very intimate experience. My only recommendation about your request would be to sit at the back of the restaurant, unless you eat early and sitting in the front section gives you a table by the window. It gives you less foot traffic by your table. The other thing re Chops was that the kitchen is open at the front, which makes the tables too bright due to the lights from the kitchen. We preferred the dimmer intimacy that comes from sitting in the rear of the restaurant.
