This is our first RC cruise in many years.

Does RC use the seapass cards for loading money to the slot machines to play, or do we need to deposit cash?

Do they charge to take money out at the casino?

Do they charge a fee to close out the account at the end of the cruise?

Do they charge to take money out at the casino? There is a 5% fee unless you have a cash account.

Do they charge a fee to close out the account at the end of the cruise?No.

You have to use cash for the slot machines. I'm glad they require cash because I'd be afraid of what my seapass account would look like at the end of the week :eek:

If I have a cash account set up with bought OBC, I don't pay the 5%. Is this correct?

 

If I run out of OBC half way through the cruise can I go to guest services and change it to a Credit card account?

 

I'm trying to work out the best way to do it...we are Aussies and the exchange rate is awful!

At that time you can pay it with cash, credit or debit card. I am not sure about switching it to credit... but I would assume you can

We did exactly this on a recent Explorer of the Seas cruise......pre purchased OBC and when we had made our nightly donation to the Casino, ran down the balance and then put a credit card on the account for the remainder of the trip.

 

There was no charge for cash withdrawals when we were using the OBC and then a 5% charge when we withdrew cash once the the credit card was on the account.

 

In both cases you just use your seapass card in the casino, the cashier just swipes it and gives you the cash .

You can earn points to buy merchandise (caps, t'shirts, etc.) and get a bit of cash back by inserting your Seapass into the slot machines while you play.

 

Generally in the mornings there is a period during which some machines feature 2x points.

 

Points have to be cashed out by 10 or 11 pm on the final night.

 

Point tracking is not a bad thing and it can lead to an invitation to RCL Casino Program.:D

Thanks for the feedback everyone. I've asked these questions on different forums and been totally confused by the answers. I think I now have an idea of what we can do.

 

One more question if I may....I'm assuming the RCL Casino Program and the VIP Program are the same? If so, will they explain the program on board? [emoji2]
