I am not sure on this one we pre-paid before we even boarded because we hit the bar the minute we got on board! I know if you wait until you are out to sea I think you avoid taxes.

 

No taxes are charged on drink packages. That being said there have been a couple of posts recently about bartenders making a mistake and charging the taxes but those people were able to get credited for the taxes by calling Royal.

If you buy it late do they prorate it for remaining days or does it get backward traced to the beg of the cruise?

 

Also when it says per day, for a 7 night cruise are you charged for 8 days or 7?

The prorate the price if you don't buy on day 1. You are charged by the number of nights.

They charge per night.
