Orient bay plus something else

We arrive early am (?8?) and leave early eve (?5?). We would like to go to Orient Beach. Can we get there and back by bus? What else is recommended to see? Is there an old French or Dutch plantation?

No the public bus does not go near Orient Bay. If you haven't been to Phillipburg and the boardwalk that might be a good way to end your day and you can walk to the port from there.

Taxi is the best way - should be $20 for two. If you are travelling with another couple you might want to rent a car to allow more than just trip to beach. That should be about $65-$75 for the day - much more flexibility.

Normally the vans/ taxis are full so cost per person is about $7.00 each. Takes about 25 minutes to get there. Lots of taxis to get back. We usually leave to return to port about 3:00 pm. We never rent a car. Taxis are plentiful.

25 minutes and $7 -$8 in shared taxi seems about right. :)
