bullsh Posted December 6, 2015 #1 Share Posted December 6, 2015 Does any one know how long and the cost would be to get there from cruise port
Arubalisa Posted December 7, 2015 #2 Share Posted December 7, 2015 As permitted by law, taxi fare is $41 each way for up to a maximum of 5 people. With traffic, figure a minimum of a half hour to get there. Pre-arrange for the taxi to return to pick you up. It IS off the beaten path. A rental car to get there would be about the same cost. The public bus will get you there through San Nicolas and an additional van transfer, but it will be time consuming.
cb at sea Posted December 8, 2015 #3 Share Posted December 8, 2015 Might as well go to Eagle or Palm beach.
Hatteras51 Posted December 8, 2015 #4 Share Posted December 8, 2015 In my opinion, Baby Beach is over rated. I think that Palm Beach and Eagle Beach are much nicer, besides the fact that Baby Beach is pretty far from the port and is expensive to get to. Aruba is aware that cruisers need more beach access and are currently working on a wonderful beach site at Surfside Beach, which is near downtown. The pictures look wonderful. It will have bathrooms. It is supposed to be finished soon. This will be a great for cruisers coming into port.
Leavethekidswithmom Posted December 8, 2015 #5 Share Posted December 8, 2015 I agree with Hatteras, it's over rated and both times there the current was ripping which led to zero visibility.
