penang32 Posted December 21, 2015 #1 Share Posted December 21, 2015 Due to pay balance of payment for March '16 Solstice cruise to South Pacific. Trying to avoid the 3% credit card fee which amounts to $A150-. Appears you can pay the amount to RCL's JP Morgan Chase Bank-Sydney branch via the National Bank here in Aus then email the deposit receipt to RCL. Can any one advise if the have used this method to finalise their payment? Seems a bit more involved but would worth it to save the fee - more money to spend on board! thanks. upwarduk Posted December 21, 2015 #2 Share Posted December 21, 2015 I would do it in plenty of time! The advantage of booking with Celebrity UK direct is that you are NOT charged a C.C fee. If I book with a T.A I am.
4774Papa Posted December 21, 2015 #3 Share Posted December 21, 2015 You must be referring to a foreign transaction fee. There are many credit cards that don't have this fee. I use my Delta Skymiles Amex card, no foreign transaction fee and I get miles as well.
az_tchr Posted December 21, 2015 #4 Share Posted December 21, 2015 Different banking issues in Australia. Banks there basically charge for everything. If paying that way avoids the credit card fee - got for it. Some banks in Australia charge to use your credit card instead of giving rebate when one uses!
