For those of you who cruised the Allure from Barcelona last summer, port question

For those of you who cruised the Allure from Barcelona last summer, what time did you get to the port and what time did you get onboard?

We went in morning (10ish) and had no problem boarding.

We left our hotel around 10:30 AM (Hotel Jazz) and walked right onto the ship - no waiting! Check in was very quick and efficient!

How were the seas?

Around 10ish and we also were able to walk right onboard. Was an easy check in, we are only gold level as it was our 2nd cruise but it paid off as the non-C&A line was ridiculous long, even our line was shorter than the diamond+line :D

 

Took a taxi from the hotel (near placa catalunya) and it was roughly $15EU.

This cruise has multiple embarkations and debarkations

Most people get on in Barcelona some get on in Rome and some get on in Naples

We have even embarked in France

The whole process is very nice whichever port you get on

How were the seas?

 

We sailed on 10/4 from Barcelona and the sea was very calm until the last day from Naples back to Barcelona. The sea was a little rough and it was cold, windy and rainy. The rest of the time, the weather was beautiful so we couldn't complain. We still had a great time!

Maybe someone can answer a question which just came to me - we are on harmony next summer ( same itinerary ) but embarking in Rome . If getting off the ship in Barcelona to see around is there a separate exit and entrance area for those who are just going on a shore excursion and those who are actually embarking and disembarking?
