Since we had eaten at the Pizza place in Puerto Rico, we weren't really hungry enough to go for a "real" dinner. We decided to try The Raw Bar. The seafood was fresh and delicious. I was amazed at the attention to detail and the pride that was put into delivering the best and most beautiful food possible.

Our chef working hard preparing our meal. He shucked the oysters right in front of us.

We headed back towards our room (We had taken Melissa to Splash Academy after we ate) after we picked her back up again.

I think we just spent a little time in the Haven lounge.

These pictures are from the hallway near it.

After we ate wings, it was time to settle in for the evening. We would watch TV and Melissa would watch Hotel Transylvania 2. Again. LOL. She really loved that move. Blah blah blah.

Each night, I would use my unlimited internet and go on Cruise Critic and answer some questions. I would also use Amazon Prime Music and stream a playlist to fall asleep to. It worked great most of the time.

Hi - just wanted to say thank you for both the review and sharing your story.

My sister & I are taking my mom - a survivor, on the Breakaway for a late birthday present. She just turned 80 (shhh I didn't tell you that :) ) but she's been with us 30 years after having surgery to remove those nasty cells.

After seeing all your pix I decided to call the upsell line and just got us a penthouse courtyard Haven suite. First time in a suite and the thing I'm looking forward to is breakfast in the haven restaurant

Thanks for reading along.

Congrats to your mom and Happy Birthday. After surviving this nasty disease, I'm proud to tell anyone that asks how old I am. :D I have a feeling your mom probably feels the same way.

You are going to love the Haven. Please say Hello to everyone from the Nickl family. They are just wonderful.

Today was also the day of the laundry special. $19.95 for all you can fit in the laundry bag. Mike and I each filled a bag with almost everything we had already worn, minus our underwear. I just can't bring myself to have someone else wash those. Our room steward told us not to fold the laundry into the bag, but to roll everything into logs. That way you get more into the bag. Send the laundry on Friday by noon, have it back Saturday afternoon. To us it was a great deal. Since this was a 14 day cruise, they offered it again.

Today we arrived in St Thomas, which like yesterday in Puerto Rico, was US territory so we were able to use our phones to call home and check in.

We didn't have anything planned for today and we decided to just stay on the ship. I took lots of pictures from our balcony. I know, shocking.

The water is beautiful and check out these boats!

We decided to go to the Haven pool for a while because Melissa wanted to go swimming and didn't want to go to the main pool because it was too salty. We bought goggles yesterday, but she was adamant about not going. When we got there the roof was closed. What? It's bright and sunny and hot so why is it closed? I asked one of the Haven servers and he said he would find out why it wasn't open. A few minutes go by and he comes back and tells me that the Bridge said rain was coming shortly, but after it passes, the forecast was clear and it would be opened. Oh, OK. That makes sense. In the meantime, Melissa is swimming and Mike and I are bored. We want to be in the sun. Sure enough, after a few minutes we see rain on the roof. It lasted around 15 minutes and then it stopped. Around another 15 minutes or so later, we see this:

The roof is now opened! Yay! But OMG, the sun is so strong that the pool deck gets really hot. Make sure you wear shoes or flip flops or something on your feet. The same with the main pool deck. Holy hot!

As I have mentioned before, the Haven restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. But they also serve food at the pool. After we swam for a while, we decided to have a bite there.

The Onion Rings. So crispy and hot.

Chicken Caesar Wrap with Fries

Melissa had her usual Haven hot dog. When you are at the Haven pool you can sit at a table or you can order your food to a lounge chair. Since we were wet, we got our food at lounge chairs. Melissa was happy as usual.

I'm looking at her and I notice that she has marks on her forehead from the goggles. She really needs to stop wearing them on her head if she's not using them to swim.

After we eat, I convince her to go to Splash Academy for a little while. Mike is going to rest and I'm going to wander around the ship. It wasn't hard to get her to go to Splash Academy because this afternoon was "BlackBeards Treasure" and tonight was "Pirates Plunder". Both were events she really wanted to do. She missed Pirate Plunder on our last cruise and reminded me of that often.

I dropped her off and then went wandering around. Who am I kidding? I found my way to the pool deck and went right to the Waves Bar to get a frozen drink. Mike met me there and I got this one. It was delicious. I don't remember what it was called, but it was yummy. I think it was a mix of half Pina Colada and half something else.

We decided to head to the Atrium to see what was going on. We got a few more drinks at the Atrium Bar. Being that it was a beautiful day and we were in port, the Atrium was pretty empty.

I did participate in the Party Line Dancing class in the Atrium. We did a bunch of dances like the Whip/Nae Nae, the Wobble, Cotton Eyed Joe, and a few others. It was a lot of fun and by the time we were done, I was sweating. More drinks were needed!

Lots of drinks make you have to pee. I found that whenever I used one of the bathrooms in the public area, it was like the hook inside the door was giving me the finger. Maybe it was just the drinks that made me think that, maybe not. You be the judge. LOL

I picked Melissa up just a little before 5pm and we decided to go look around the ship a bit and I took some pictures. Surprise surprise. We peeked into Moderno and Cagneys before they "opened" for dinner service, so they were empty.

She loved this spot. We took the same picture last cruise. I can't believe how big my little girl is getting!

Looking into the restaurant. Notice all the different sized tables. One night we had a table for 10.
