BuckeyeMan Posted January 19, 2016 #1 Share Posted January 19, 2016 OK... Been around 5 years since last cruise and wife wanting to cruise again. Crusied with RC last time. Anyways thinking of booking freedom in March on an eastern Carribean route. Can someone tell me the differences between D1, D2, D3, E1, E2 etc on the freedom? Should I look for the front or the rear of the ship? I know not one by the elevator but any other tips? Any other help on cabin selections? Looking at the March 6th cruise. Thanks in advance for any and all help.
marci22 Posted January 19, 2016 #2 Share Posted January 19, 2016 (edited) I like to be midship by the elevators because it is convenient. I prefer decks 7-10 (balconies). The differences are due to cabin occupancy and location. Edited January 19, 2016 by marci22
BuckeyeMan Posted January 19, 2016 Author #3 Share Posted January 19, 2016 Wow... Really? By an elevator? I always thought those were noisy. And should I lean towards an E or D cabin? Which are generally considered better cabins?
Coralc Posted January 19, 2016 #4 Share Posted January 19, 2016 D's are bigger, and I like being by the elevator, too. :D Not noisy, the elevators aren't right next to your cabin.
WupperAV Posted January 19, 2016 #5 Share Posted January 19, 2016 I get too tired anyway to know if there is noise. I like midships. 16 day cruise in S China seas and we had a pretty good swell with 12 seas and slept like babies. Woke up crying every 2 hrs. LOL It rolled a bit but rocked you to sleep. Quite pleasant!
Siora7777 Posted January 19, 2016 #6 Share Posted January 19, 2016 (edited) I believe the D cabins have full sofas. E's have love seats. E1 hold three in a cabin, I believe the others hold only two people. I'm not sure what the other differences are, probably just location. Front of the ship has more motion. I guess you need to decide what you want to be close to. Edited January 19, 2016 by Siora7777
