It has been a few years since we have sailed on HAL. Do they still show the movies in your room that they show in the theatre?

I also did the 11 day Panama Sunfarer on the Z-dam, and it was a special cruise. Very much the way you experienced it.

Funnily enough I never had time to sequester myself in a dark room to watch a movie, so that is a non-issue for me.

 

I was so taken with the Panama canal experience, that the half distance, and turning back in Lago Gatun was just incomplete, and instilled a passion to return.

 

This time we are going all the way to the Pacific, and up the western coast to San Diego. Albeit on the Westie, the most popular Vista ship :)

 

Ahhh, the feeling of completeness.......Big bucket list item :D

 

This may be one of the last HAL crossings in the original Atlantic side canal, as the new one should be operational by early April. Or not, as there are always delays.
