Juliayn Posted January 29, 2016 #1 Share Posted January 29, 2016 Does the UDP package on Escape get you a discount at either Bayamo or Food Republic? I know Margaritaville is included in the package...but I recall reading somewhere you get a discount on one or both of the above... Thanks!! If you have the UDP, there is a $15 upcharge fee for Bayamo. There is no discount for Food republic and everything is a-la-carte.
Rare duchesslt Posted January 29, 2016 #3 Share Posted January 29, 2016 I brought a copy of the UDP terms and conditions which clearly give a 25% discount at food republic for sailings after July, 2015. It was honored on a $100 bill. You can google the UDP terms and conditions and both a print out and a screen shot of NCL.com are useful. Food Republic sent me to guest services to get it taken care of. I know it's not a lot but I viewed it as more money to gamble :)

Let's say I have UDP for four nights, use all four, then want to eat at Food Republic. Do I no longer qualify for the 25% off? You have the SDP. The Ultimate Dining Package was for unlimited specialty dining throughout the cruise. This package offered the discounts on a la carte restaurants. They stopped offering this sometime before July/August of 2015. It was replaced with the SDP. The Specialty Dining Package (I think that's the correct term) is offered for a limited amount of meals. I don't believe that qualifies for any type of discount at a la carte venues.

Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G928A using Tapatalk The ULTIMATE Dining Package (UDP) is an old promotion with free standard specialty dining on each night of the cruise. As many meals as you want. It is different from the current SPECIALTY Dining Package (SDP) where you have a fixed number of meals. They have different terms and conditions. Rare duchesslt Posted January 29, 2016 #7 Share Posted January 29, 2016 (edited) I just read the terms and conditions and I'm wondering if that 25% discount counts as one UDP credit/meal? Let's say I have UDP for four nights, use all four, then want to eat at Food Republic. Do I no longer qualify for the 25% off? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G928A using Tapatalk I too found this all confusing. I had a whole series of printouts to double check what I was being charged - gratuities, restaurants, casino fees, etc. because I am a budgeter so I can justify my bad gambling habit to my husband (even though I work! and even though he is a poker player!)Your SDP (new promotion) does not include the A la carte discount for food republic or pinchos. They even pushed back on my terms & conditions when I requested the UDP (old promotion) discount, but ultimately a nice guest services lady honored it. Ok, so it was $25 bucks - big deal - but I just wanted NCL to honor my terms and get an extra blackjack hand or 8 slot pulls. Believe me = that stupid Wizard of Oz slot machine took my that money 4x in less than 5 minutes. On a side note for gamblers - there is a machine called Crazy Stars smack center of the casino smoking area, behind the tables on the left side walking aft that I think is set to a higher payback. Worth playing max bet. I and a few other people made some very decent lucky hits on those machines every night. I know its random, but the machines are set to certain payback levels. The wizard of oz and flintstones pissed me off. Lots of noise and video and cartoons - no money. Overall, never saw a big jackpot hit all week. wildheart82 Posted January 30, 2016 #10 Share Posted January 30, 2016 A bit off topic, but how is Pinchos handled with UDP? Is it 25% off, or a flat upcharge?
Rare duchesslt Posted January 31, 2016 #11 Share Posted January 31, 2016 A bit off topic, but how is Pinchos handled with UDP? Is it 25% off, or a flat upcharge? At pinchos they gave me the SDP terms - flat $7 upcharge - even though I had the UDP. Same goes for Bayamo - charged $15 each with UDP.
