Happy to answer any questions you might have. Just sailed on 1/16 on the Valor using the eastern itinerary.

We did the same cruise - other than being disappointed in food quality in dining room and Amber Cove , it was a great time.

Service was "excellant" from everyone all week long.

What dining room did you eat it. We had ATD and didnt think the food was bad. There were a couple of nights the menu really impress us but we thought overall the food was good.

What did you do in Amber Cove my family really enjoyed it?

What was diappointing about the food and Amber Cove? I'd really love to know, as we will be on her in May.

Didn't think the food was bad, we found the food quality to be more "ordinary" than we expected.

In comparison to other ports we have visited, we found Amber Cove to be just a pool and some stores (many shops still empty). We traveled into Puerto Plata also and found the cultural and historical venues limited. Many other ports have beach opportunities readily available and the port is located closer to areas in town for exploring, shopping outside of the "Carnival" stores, recreation, dining and such. For example, Grand Turk has a great beach, variety of dining options, etc. St. Thomas & San Juan are located close to town allowing one to explore on their own on foot if desired. Not possible in Puerto Plata.

Have been reading about some really rough seas recently. How were the seas on your Eastern sailing in the Valor?

wasnt to bad when we sailed. The captain did close all outside areas the last night because of thurnderstorms coming off the east coast of Florida they were expecting 60mph winds.

Do you recall which nights were elegant?

Did you happen to notice published in the Fun Times or anywhere else if/when Chef's Table happened? We've booked it for our 3/26 cruise, and are looking forward to it, but with two later port times (St. Thomas and Grand Turk) it would be nice to know if we want to plan to eat in port or save ourselves for Chef's Table!

If you have any of the Fun Times (or even the little tear-off section) with activities you'd be willing to photograph or scan, I'd love to get a sneak peak!
