Escape Balcony sq ft Measurment

So I just got off the Escape this morning, and must say it was a fantastic experience. More of a review will come after I get off the Getaway next week Sunday.

I had wanted to know how large the Penthouse stern Haven suite was before I left on this cruise and could never get an accurate number! So, I packed my trusty Stanley tape measure, and between my wife and I, we measured our balcony in room 12306. Because of the slightly irregular shape, we erred on the small side! The numbers are as follows: 24 ft x 10' to 12' which comes out to around 264 square feet.;) I can't, speak to any other balcony except that one, so now you know :)

Thanks for the measurements. I also have been searching for the balcony sizes. Guess I was spoiled when I booked my Breakaway and Getaway trips- Someone had posted that wonderful cabin and balcony spreadsheet which was a great help in determining which cabin to book!

LOL - I was beginning to think Escape sailed with all those H6 cabins empty since we couldn't find many reviews on them.

I will be in 11312 in 4 weeks- I was guessing (wrong) when I booked that the bed would be by the balcony as it was on the away ships. I expect it will also have a smaller balcony than yours.

Not that important as long as I am sailing! Looking forward to reading your review. Have a great time on the Getaway!

On Escape, decks 11 and 14 have the master bathroom by the balcony.

As for size, deck 11 is about in the middle between deepest and least deep.

Thanks for this update! I haven't found much info either and figured the website details were flat-out wrong. That sounds like a fantastic size! Looking forward to our turn in 159 days!

We are in the same cabin for the April 30th sailing!! Do you remember the time frames for when the Haven restaurant served breakfast, lunch and dinner?

Has anyone sailed with four in the aft penthouse? We're in 12306 in July and would like to know how the living room is made up for the other two. Does the couch fold out to a double or will they bring in another bed/cot? Oddly enough, our teen son and daughter want to be as far away from each other as possible when sleeping.

Any information is greatly appreciated!

It is the most frustrating thing when you call NCL and they tell you the aft penthouse balcony size is 78 square feet. I'm telling them I am looking at a picture of the back of the ship and I sailed 2 times on the Getaway in the aft penthouse and know each deck is a different size square footage and the back of the two ships look very similar so there is no way the deck size is 78 square feet. Thank you for posting this as I was about to lose my mind looking elsewhere for this information.

I will be in 12306 on the 8 day sailing in late July. Has anyone found cabin and balcony pictures?

Hi CruisingPiper! We'll be getting off while you're getting on! I promise to take good care of it for you! I imagine our pictures might be too late, but if I can work it with ship or port wi-fi, I'll post pics (before my family moves in). And the posted video is essentially the same room, just 3 decks down.

Again, many thanks to Chief Tom (and Stanley) for measuring the balcony and putting to rest the square footage questions.
